Sydney Gymnastic & Aquatic Centre
A South Australian local from the Gawler & Barossa Valley region, Brad started his aquatic industry journey at the age of 15 as an Assistant Swim Teacher. Obtaining his Swim Teacher license at 17, Brad quickly elevated into senior swim teacher roles as Senior Instructor and Instructor in Charge for Disability Learn to Swim and Summer Vacation Programs.
Brad’s first taste of workplace leadership started when he was 19 and was a Project Officer for a state disability sporting body overseeing the Swim Squad and Sledge Hockey projects. In 2013 he then moved on to the Gawler Aquatic Centre as Swim School Coordinator. In 2015, Brad then relocated to NSW to join the Sydney Gymnastic & Aquatic Centre as Programs Coordinator, where he was later promoted as Assistant Manager and then Business Manager of the Aquatics Department for SGAC leading a team of 57 swim teachers, pool lifeguard, supervisors and coordinators.
Outside of SGAC, Brad is a trainer for Royal Life Saving NSW and AUSTSWIM and was an inaugural mentor for ASSA’s Mentoring for Success Program. In 2021, he also joined the Aquatic & Recreation Institute of NSW in the Young Leaders Advisory Group and started studying a Masters of Business Administrations specialising in Strategic Human Resource Management.
